White House Selects Top Video Creators for Visit

By

As part of the White House’s “What’s Your Story?” campaign, the top three creators of YouTube videos outlining the change they create in their community are going to the White House.

The top videos included a support group for Asian immigrants in high school who struggle with assimilation, Paul Kim’s Kollaboration and a spoken word poet/advocate. President Obama’s Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders asked the community to vote on its favorite videos, in an article we brought you last month.

Winners, including one essay contest and two runners up, are invited to the White House April 5, 2012, for a chance to share their stories in person. The event takes place at 11:30 a.m. EST (8:30 a.m. PST) and will be live streamed on http://www.whitehouse.gov/live, according to White House’s website.

This is part of the Champions of Change program meant to acknowledge people who do great things in their community.

Check out Paul Kim’s video below, and tell us in the comments what you hope to see come from this event.
